Oh yes
delightful that the
predicted rain arrived late yesterday.
Now not the storms they kept talking about
but wonderful rain.
Could use more on my dry gardens
but anything from Heaven is appreciated.
The humming birds loved it
and as I sat on my small front porch
they were having a time.
Could not use camera fast enough
and at one time saw 6 buzzing around the feeder.
Was able to take an image of 3.
A quick errand to town this morning to purchase some more bags of mulch and some potting soil
that is added to woods dirt when filling pots.
Home and since ground is easy to work with have dug up several favorite daylillies, split and
moved. Needed to be done while color is remembered.
So much needs to be done and after lunch and will try to pace myself, stay off the bank where so
many plants need to be dead headed and cut back.
Seeing some butterflies that I have missed. They may just like the weather that is being
enjoyed by this one.
A unusally cool morning predicted for tomorrow.
and very welcome
if it arrives...

I'm imaging the rain and the hummers - also sitting on your porch. All seem wonderful. It's raining here in the high mountains of CO right now - a blessing since we were getting too dry. I try to be mindful, too - easier, maybe, as I grow old.
Barb, could not be mindful most of my life.
Only now at this old age :)
Thank you for visiting.
Your surroundings are breath taking. Take care..
Love that picture of your hummingbirds. Tell me what the vine is that is growing in the picture. I have forgotten the name...wondering if it has a red flower?

I love the hummer picture.
I saw today that cooler weather was happening in your area. I hope we get a little of that down here too.
Enjy your summer ~ FlowerLady
Respite from hot dry summer. WE all welcome that with open arms. Tonight the rains came and so welcome. So needed!
I have a hummer feeder exactly like your. We had a high today of 65 and tonight it will be in the low 50's--actually I enjoyed the cool day.
Yes indeed, delightful! Thank you for sharing. Enjoy the cooler temps and the beauty of nature that surrounds you.
Glad you got a nice rain. We are still having plenty this summer. It's hard to believe that we had a drought two summers ago.
I, too, would love to know the name of the vine. My aunt has one and I have never known the name. Beautiful photo of the hummers!
Balisha, Lorraine, Tabor, Judy, AnvilCloud, Pienosole and Sky,
have a wonderful day in your part of the country...
