A Monday In October

Two years ago.
  This afternoon
spotted on the terrace.    Thoughts keep surfacing - where are all of the birds?
None at feeders for a number of days.   Wonder what this means?
 This evening
dinner for one.   My favorite a lobster tail.

A day of gentle thoughts and pleasures.

Yes, where are the birds, but even more where are the butterflies and bees this year? Where have they got to?

Perhaps there has been too much rain here.

Ursula, I do not remember no birds at my feeders at this time of year in the past. A pleasure for me to watch. Maybe there is plenty for them in the fields and woods.
Thank you for visiting. My life at this time is filled with simple pleasures.
They are the best kind.

We should soon be seeing the Monarch butterflies as they migrate south. I don't have any flowers for them to feed on before making their long journey.
