Fall Beauty Continues and Wheat

Nothing new to share
just want my children and grandchildren
to know I am fine.

Warm, sunny, and wearing my favorite
old clothes and camera around my neck.

Leaves continue to whirl to the ground,
small blower has been used 3 times today.
Paths are cleared
and soon covered up again with leaves.
This is fine
just do not want to forget where they are :)

I walk in the woods
looking for something new.
I see nothing new, just the same beauty,
images are taken
and are probably being repeated.

This must be the most beautiful Fall
in my lifetime
or is it at this advanced age
I am well aware there are not as
many Falls in the future as in the past
In fact
very few
when compared to these 70 plus years.

A continual thought comes to mind,
what have I done to be given the wonderful gift
of  being allowed to return to my much loved
homeplace?

There is a thankful spirit that never leaves my heart.

A good day
for me and Miss Callie....

Heard noise
and looked outside
Winter Wheat being planted
and I will have a beautiful green field this winter...

This does seem to be a tremendous fall this year. I think our area got some nice late summer rain perhaps. Yes, I do wonder how or why I am so blessed this time!

I love all those leaves. I had lots of them at my old house but now it's nothing but pine straw. Oh, what I would give to have leaves again. I love the crunchy sound that you hear as you walk through them.

I myself was thinking similar thoughts this morning as I took a ride in the country.

Thank you again for your inspiring blog.

Our beautiful fall is a surprise following such a hot and dry summer. I had wondered if you would be blowing leaves from your woodland paths. You and Callie must have wonderful walks and talks along those paths.

you are a careful and frugal person; hard worker; loving and appreciative of family, friend, human and animal kind; and loving person. these are a few reasons the home you loved is given to your care.

this is definitely the most beautiful fall of my 66 years. the only fall i have been blessed to be in North Carolina and drink in the fall colors.....oops....i did have one Fall in Maine. Not near as beautiful as this fall......

((hugs))

After such a miserably hot summer-fall has been outstanding. The colors of the trees behind my house are the most brilliant they have ever been.

How nice to see the picture of your path in all its Fall glory. A crystal clear and sparkly day here, too. Love the Fall. How nice that you will gave the beautiful green wheat to color up your winter.
It makes my day to read your words of thanks for all you enjoy right there at your Haven.
