"you do not always have to do what the mind says
or believe it."
At the present time this speaks volumes to me.
The body and mind are saying different things
to One Woman in the third stage of her life
So I have decided that sometimes I will let
some thoughts surface and other times
I will turn the thoughts off
or rather
turn the dial and think on something else.
This is not easy at times.
Think I will listen to the body and stop trying
to figure this out....
On the country road today I noticed the county
had clipped 4 feet on either side of road.
This usually takes place about twice a year.
I did not like it - because all the
beautiful wild flowers have been mowed down.
The fields are beginning to look so clean with the big hay rolls.
Everything is still very green in my area and more rain due next week.
This is what I saw as I began to unload groceries from my car.
Beetles are continuing to have a feast...
This very day I wish you

It has taken me about three years, but regular picking of beetles from my roses and other plants has reduce their numbers greatly. The traps just attract new beetles I think. I think I read somewhere they are attracted to fragrant soapy water and then drown.
I have been picking them off and putting them in a jar of soapy water. Dislike using 7 Dust.
The only thing I’m letting my mind dwell on is the season. I never paid much attention before, except I hated winter passionately. No more. It’ Spring in all it’s glory, including the beetles. Your beautiful mind can conjure up more images than I can list. Peace? Thanks', I’ll gladly join you in a cup.
are these the beetles we called "june bugs" when we were young? the ones that had a greenish cast?
sorry the wildflowers were mowed. :(
Lynn, thank you :) you delight me with your words. Yes, I probably think too much..
Sky, no no no - not June bugs.
They were fun bugs
these beetles are eating everything.
Not good...
You are so right about it not being easy to turn off our thoughts at times. Basically, I'm a positive person, but, I do tend to worry about things a lot and that's not good for body, spirit or mind.
Going out into the gardens, listening to soothing music, or picking up needle and thread soothes me as does reading from Psalms and Proverbs.
Have a lovely weekend ~ FlowerLady
Flower Lady - that same reading soothes me and also repeating many verses I have memorized.
Have a good weekend :)
With our dry weather, it's hard to get the worry off my mind about what is going to happen with our cattle. As Flower Lady said, picking up needle and thread helps.
Our county road crews usually leave the queen anne's lace until they have set seeds before mowing.
Dear Charlotte, I am so sorry about the rain. Hopefully it will arrive soon. Thinking of you and remembering you in my prayers...
Dear, I have just read about a natural concoction to use on the beetles. This is the website is you'd like to view:

She says it really works.
