Mattress and Recipe

I ordered my new mattress online
it arrived on time and my helper said his parents would like my old one.
It looked like new but probably 15 years old and needed a low profile box springs to lower
mattress so I could get into my bed easier.

Well, I thought all mattresses were the same and I learned differently.
My old mattress is 7 inches high and the new one 10 inches high.
Have not heard from my 4 emails stating I want to exchange this mattress for a lower one.
So now one more problem to solve....

Jamie, sent me this simple recipe recently, going to prepare tomorrow for the weekend
and will half for just me,  Always change recipes, do have artichokes and olives on hand

At the market this morning bought fresh spinach, mushrooms and a cooked rotisserie
 chicken.

Unusually warm at 70 degrees today,  Sat on deck for my lunch.   Theraphy stops next week,
saddens me but do not need another accident to have it continue.   Balance horrible and I am
careful and pain stays but have so much to be thankful for....

Remember - Sunshine and Love makes us all stronger,,,,

We're also warm here in the south. I wonder if we will have a real winter? I'm certainly not complaining about the warmth. I need a new mattress; I'd be ashamed for anyone to see the underside of mine. :) But I'm afraid a new one wouldn't let me rest as well as this old tattered one.

Me and my other half sleep on two single 70 yr old mattresses pushed together. I've never slept on anything as comfortable anywhere else. But we are being told in the UK - by a mattress company! - to change our mattress every eight years. I don't think so! X

Sunshine and love; love an sunshine!
I had plenty of both yesterday, too.
I stepped out minutes ago and saw a clear sky with beautiful moon and plenty of stars. The day is starting out beautifully (except for neighbor's dogs that are lucky to that I don't own a gun. Grrrrr.

When we bought our new mattress we had to buy new sheets to fit. :-) The mattress is a tempurpedic which we bought in 2000 I think. Every time I lay down on it I sigh, because of how wonderful it feels. I hope you get your mattress situation straightened out.

Have a lovely weekend dear Ernestine.

We need a new mattress here. I dread going out mattress shopping, but don't know how I would ever know what one was comfortable to order it online without testing it by laying down on it in a store. Several years ago I was amazed at the differences in the way each mattress felt, and how many variations there were. As it turned out, I made a big mistake at that time, and ended up buying a mattress that only had one side for sleeping on. I didn't know that there even were such things as mattresses that couldn't be flipped over, so I didn't even think to notice it. It has decreased the life of that mattress significantly to only have one side be usable. It can't be flipped, so it can only be turned to change which end is at the foot and head. I have now done that long enough that it has more sunken in spots than my dog's bed does. It's starting to give me back aches.

Has anyone tried and had good luck with any of the adjustable beds? I would like one that I can raise the head and shoulder area. I know that will come with a huge price tag.

I hope that the mattress company that you used will get things straightened out for you.

Sounds like you had a really productive day with shopping for a mattress and cooking. We do grow stronger and more powerful through the gift of love. I think we also have to learn to give ourselves that love too. It has taken me most of my life to learn to do this. I hope your therappy session goes well!
