Labor Before Weekend

Yesterday as day is beginning and still not totally day light
yoga, computer time and then
a few new seeds planted
before the heat sets in.
Kale and Spinach
and will see if they do as well as the Turnip Greens.
Then a little clean up
A few clothes on deck to dry
Some yogurt, fruit and green tea,
change of clothes
and a quick trip to town
and a truck loaded with torn bags of mulch and gravel
good buy at 1/2 price and will spread a bag at a time.
Strange the streets and the big store
were almost empty.
Just received call that bush hog man is coming tomorrow after work.
So pleased as it will tidy up many areas and help with mosquito's.
Going to ask him to nail my Woodhaven sign back up which is hanging
by one nail and I cannot lift.    Have got kind of use to seeing it lopsided
so now when the way it should be will refresh the letters.

Beth, called and said  " mama go to Destin with me for a long weekend."  I told her thank you but I just
do not want to leave home and especially in this heat.  I am the happiest person on the planet
in this cottage surrounded by my simple gardens, woods and
especially since some health issues seem to be better....

Soon it was time for lunch
and meals the same as the day before...

looks so nice! appears you got a lot of work done which must feel wonderful.

do you think it's possible you may be a little afraid of traveling away from home? :(

Sky, I do not like leaving home.
Guess I am comfortable in my little world and like my food.
With a special announcement next week - I will be traveling in the future - just have too.
Sandy, :)

Now that you're feeling somewhat better, don't over work; I know it's tempting.

I am very proud that you have the courage and the confidence to tell a daughter, "no, thanks." I am always afraid if I don't accept their invitation, no matter how difficult it is for me to go, they won't ask again. :-(

Charlotte, you know me well :)
Judy, I do not want to go anywhere
at this time.
Mel, thank you...

I'm looking at that truckload of bags. Are you spreading this yourself? Just wondering...

Balisha, one bag at a time and it will take me several weeks or more.
I am in no hurry but was such a good buy and when I am in the garden and need it - it is handy.
The grass mowing boy came today
and I had him put one really big bag by the garden for me
so it is handy...

Ernestine, I think you need to take the plunge and when you are invited you should go. Is there somewhere you could board Callie?

Beveryly, feeling better and will share more later.
Sallysmom, I will in the future
but with heat this is a good time to continue being home...

Sharing your cottage happiness is a fine thing! It is too late in the season for planting veggies here, and I am just wee bit envious about your newly planted greens.

Things are looking beautiful around your place! I am a stay-at-home sort too, for the most part. We are making a little nest where all we need for happiness is present, aren't we? I love the nesting process, and the clearing away of what is no longer needed as well. Your home looks like a serene and lovely nest. :)
