Once I get started looking at old photos...I had better plan on going down memory lane for a couple of hours. One picture leads to another and another story. Joe and I often get our albums out and sit at the table and tell each other our stories.I wonder if memories will be the same without those albums...what with digital photography...saving pics on the computer etc.How can you sit down with a computer and have the same feelings as turning the page?Balisha
Balisha, I have the same thoughts. In my upstairs close there are box after box, many albums and pictures(graduation and family) and seems at this time none of children want.So I am the keeper of memories.I can hardly go through these pictures with becoming emotional. Some so happy and then my life started over after 22 years of marriage. All is fine but just a lot of memories....Thank you always for your special friendship.
I see several errors in my sharingbut will not try and correct as most would know what I mean.My Jamie tells me to edit. I just type and post :)
Your life gives me hope that all turns out well in a changed life.
My mother often said that a child's birthday is also a mother's birth day, so "Happy Birth Day"! (Coincidentally, today is my birthday too.)
My youngest daughter was also premature, weighing in at 3 lb. 14oz. In those days mothers didn't get to hold their babies as soon as now, so I had never held her until she was almost three weeks old. That's when I realized how tiny she was.I also have the feelings shared by you and Balisha about pictures on the computer. Chances are many will never be looked at again.
Sandy and Mel, thank you.Pienosole, Happy Birthday :)Charlotte, my girl 5 lbs when I brought her home :)
This is so lovely.I enjoy our scrapbooks, our ethereal memories brought to life in our blogworld.XOWWW
