Early Morning View and Amazing

My view this early morning
as I open the front door
and I love this old barn.
Use to be mine :)
Now I do not have to keep grass cleared around it
or when I go inside be careful
I do not fall through some of the old floors.
But a part of me
deep inside
still wishes it was mine....
When I step
outside on the porch
I think
what is that scent?
Noticed tobacco being cut in surrounding fields
and is this the familiar scent
from the smoking barns?

Surely it is too early
but then maybe not and
will check out soon on errands
to local town.....

Beautiful picture! I have fond memories of playing in an old barn. Our barn is not built with stalls and a loft so it isn't very interesting, just more of a shed. I can't wait to plant greens!

Wow, what a view and to think the barn used to be yours. Like you said though you no longer have to deal with the upkeep, etc. That photo makes me feel peaceful.

The old barn still stands tall and beautiful...what a view! Could it be we will have an early fall and activity in the smoking barns has begun already? Interesting...

Charlotte, I was hoping I could get an image of what I saw. The camera is tricky. Sometimes it makes your viewing more beautiful
and other times not. Thanks always for visiting.
Lorraine, :)
Mary, on my morning errand did not see any smoking barns. Wonder why I thought I could detect that scent this morning.
Guess I know it will happen soon.

Your photograph of the barn that used to be yours is BEAUTIFUL! The wonderful image of the barn in the hazy morning almost made me feel like I was there. I could almost smell the aroma of the smoking barns which you referred to, (and I don't even know exactly what goes on with smoking barns!). Your picture just put me right out in the country, early in the morning, before the fog has burned off. Wonderful! I haven't been out in the country early in the morning for way too many years. Thank you for the little trip back!

Nothing like an old bar, especially one you know so well, to go into and watch dust motes float in the sun and...remember.

I can smell the air and feel the mist from your photo - pretty as a painting. I walked out early one morning last week and was reminded of camping with the kids, the smell and feel of the woods on a summer morning.

We saw and smelled a smoking barn when we were up that way! Love that smell and it always reminds me of fall.
