Morning View

Early visitor and Callie did not see you
Wheat has turned golden and soon will be cut
A different kind of Lavender
Hollyhocks have started to bloom
The view from my small terrace is ever changing and always pleasing
Rabbit Ear Fern you are older then I remember
This morning another surprise

I do believe in the next week to 10 days the day Daylillies will be blooming.

Someone reminded me of "The Good Earth"  by Pearl S. Buck
I read it years ago and noticed a copy for a penny on Amazon.
So I ordered to read again and add to my collection of books.
My son's reply  "one penny or twenty dollars
one could do worse then buy lots of books."

Such lovely pictures! We are quite a bit behind you in the growing season--our wheat will not be ready until late July--now we just have fields of green, but beautiful and lush looking. The Good Earth--one of my favorite books. I too, should read it again! We are still very cool here, weather wise--it was 59 degrees outside when I got up at 9:00. I rather like it though--can't stand the hot and humid that will be coming in July.

Enjoyed my morning visit...lovely place. I have read The Good Earth and a couple that follow, but have stopped on one of the later books.

WWW, Charlotte, Judy, LR and Mary thank you for visiting.
Feel like crying - trip to Lowes and ran into one who goes to the church I use to go to. She looked at me and said "you have lost weight"
So aware of this pushing food and protein. In 2 weeks more bloodwork
but nothing changes...
Just told to eat more and rest more.

I am so sorry about your weight issue. Some of us try so hard to lose and others to gain...it is a challenge. Try to keep a list of all that you eat so you know exactly how many calories you are taking in. Maybe you already do this? Your yard is gorgeous and to have the view of that wheat field is wonderful. I also bought that lavendar last year and it is almost done blooming. I wonder if I cut it, if it will bloom a second time. I also wanted to find some craft thing to do with the heads that smell so wonderful.

Tabor, what I am experiencing is a part of this autoimmune "whatever"
Sjogrens, Lupus and RA.
It is not all that inspiring to cook for one, try to eat healthy,
but do not eat much. I am encouraged to eat more, rest more.
So I eat in between meals, and have an Ensure daily, even have ice cream in the middle of the night. So what I have must burn up the calories. So much doctors do not know. Then maybe I am not normal at this late age doing all I do. But this is my life and I cannot just sit. Garden, computer, camera, books and my family is my life. To think a few years ago there was much more added to this list. Thanks for listening and I have never met you
but you are dear to me :)

I would like to say I appreciate your blog, especially now as I am my Mom's care giver since she entered hospice this week. (Lots of sitting and waiting time)I try to read uplifting blogs, and you fit that bill with lovely garden pictures and tantalizing food as well as cataract surgery expectations. Thanks!

Your flowers are beautiful as usual! :) I love the rich color of the hollyhocks. Our daylilies are about to bloom soon, too.
