Protected And Winter Solstice Is Approaching

For some reason this image
gives me a sense of peace
and protection.

The days are so short
the nights so long.
Time is approaching December 22.
Predicted time for days to begin
little by little to be a little longer.
I like the word Winter Solstice...

After many trips to big city for tests,
all involved to check out this container
for my spirit and soul - seems I may need
repair work on area where 2 years ago
 gall bladder surgery was performed.

Very independent, not wanting to be a burden
 and a family that is
super busy but it will come together.

Still not sure if I will have this done.
I will take one day at a time
moment by moment and the answer
will come.

Today I am picking turnip greens for freezer :)

So an interference on my path of simplicity
and mindfulness.

Life is full of surprises, so we need to just
accept them and go on.

As I look at the above image
I can  feel the warmth and security that
that the baby birds feel under the wings
of  one who loves them....

~~He will cover you with his feathers
He will shield you with his wings
     His faithful promises
are your armor and  protection~~      Psalms 91:4

That photo is so wonderful! The scripture you quoted is perfect for it too.

Wonderful picture and scripture for it. I know you will be protected as well while making your decision.

Dec. 21 will be our 51st wedding anniversary, and I'm looking forward to the longer days also.

Yes we all need repairs and begin to despair if they are too much. We all treasure our independence far more than we can safely do. Hoping you health holds on and that photo of the birds is just so lovely!

hi. my sis had gallbladder surg a few years ago and a couple of years later developed a hernia in the area where her surgery was done. at first it was painful with periods of feeling uncomfortable, esp after meals, bloating, some nausea, all of which sent her to the doc. some of the symptoms were very scary since they are often seen with ovarian cancer. luckily she found out it was a hernia instead. many medical appts and tests later she was told by one doc that the hernia was painful because the rupture was small. when it became larger, he said, the tissue that was slipping through the opening would not be "caught" in the stricture and she would not be as uncomfortable. she delayed her surgery and now she is not in pain. unless something else occurs she probably will never have it. this may all be related to the specific circumstances of her hernia and its location and may not be applicable to others at all, but thought i would share. you might want to ask your doc if this scenario is possible given your circumstances.

Dear Liza, so good to hear from you. Please keep in touch.
Sky, thank you for confirming what I think I heard.
Have not made firm decision on this.
Love to you both

I know what you are talking about. I will put off my needed hip surgery, until a better time. It is too difficult for Fred to drive all the way to the hospital and difficult for him to care for me and my children are all involved in jobs and have no time to come and care for mother. So.....we wait and see and do the best we can with what we have.

What a stunning photograph. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. As I struggle with my fears and the signals from my body I keep striving to feel peaceful. I may have shared this with you before, but I had a gall bladder attack several years ago and opted not to have surgery. I changed my diet and habits, but I do still struggle at times with some discomfort, and wonder whether I made the right choice. In that my Sjogrens is not officially diagnosed (but I'm sure I've got it), I wonder now whether that systemic condition is related to the gall bladder issues.

I am sending you love and warmth.

Ellen, I did not know I had a gall bladder. Just had a severe attack and emergency surgery. Write me at my email and I will share about Sjogrens if you like.
