Your turnip picture is so simple yet beautiful. Funny.. how such a simple thing can bring so much pleasure.Balisha
Balisha, I am surprised that I still have turnip greens. The frost did not hurt. Good because they give me a healthy "organic" green to enjoy :)
Beautiful sky pictures! I think turnips are a such a pretty thing; and I love to eat the greens and the turnips! I put a few boxes of the greens in the freezer and pulled some turnips for storage in the refrigerator.
very beautiful pics! wish we had some turnip greens or collards!
Charlotte and Sky, thank you for visiting. When I was growing up I would not eat turnip greens. Now could eat them every day. I need to pick more and put in freezerI know that cold weather may soon take them away..
My gardening friend in town shared turnips with me this summer that were the most tender and delicious I've ever had. I picked kale from her garden until mid-November. Fresh vegetables are a treat any time but especially as winter approaches.
Sharon, only in my later years have I like turnips. But then I had no access to home grown. That is the differanceWould not buy them from a store. They are so easy to grow. Just throw out a few seeds somewhere :)You do this in August.
Beautiful. Heaven and earth.
