Waiting

Waiting for darkness to arrive
and it is beginning

Trying to do Childs Pose
brought my son's bolster cushion down from loft

Planted 8 years ago when building and planning to return home
Crepe Myrtle is good to bloom when nothing much else us,
Pleasing to look at and if you want one takes years to really be beautiful

red one planted 4 years ago, and white one last year....
Crab cakes bought several weeks ago
took out of freezer, hope they are good for my dark time lunch
Always on end of a table so I can see where everyone is during travel times and gives
me an idea how far away my son is....

We didn't get dark here. Just a bit dim and kind of hazy.

Hello friend. It didn't get very dark here in the Southwest. I did notice my two cats a little nervous....had heard the ellipsis affects animals and especially birds. I continue to read your diary from the beginning, so very interesting. I see that you use "Living A Healthy Life with Chronic Pain". I also use this book to help me cope with my spinal arthritis (had four back surgeries over the years and back feeling like it has broken down). Don't usually share on back pain but know you can relate. I am always searching for ways to find relief. Thru your diary entries I have been encouraged to exercise more. Thank you. I don't think I could do floor yoga but shall look into chair yoga at the senior center. My Amazon package arrived today, hooray . "What Comes Next" by Abigail Thomas. And the Broccoli soup packets. Will start the book this afternoon and plan on the soup for tomorrow. I also discovered Imagine pea soup, very good. Hoping you had a peaceful and happy day Lenora

Lenora, thank you for visiting, pain I have daily and energy which was was abundant has seemed to have left me. I may receive "What Comes Next" today. My reading helps tremendously
as I realize that I am not alone on this aging path and pain. My family must tire of
hearing me talk, not complain but trying to explain how it is. The problem is that up until
age 78 they saw me doing continually, moving, creating, gardening and now it has stopped.
Help 2 hours a week and I direct the weeding and planting as I dare not go out through
the grass for fear of falling.
Again thank you for contacting me, have a good day...

Love the little glimpses of your day. I love child's pose. Sometimes, I feel a real need to get into this posture and hold it, and just breathe for a while.

Marcie, yes, but difficult for me
need pillow behind me between legs
will will continue to do
and challenge the body
do not need to stop :)

Those yoga poses are so good for all of us. We stretch and try to do as much as we can. You are probably far more flexible than many your age even with the pillow. I have gone back to lifting weights and running on the elliptical to get rid of my negative energy at this time. I was on of the first to find your blog, and so happy to have done that!
