Cranberries arrived at the market
and this early morning
baked my apple upside down cake
with an addition of cranberries
to the apples and walnuts.
Looks good
and will have some with tea for breakfast.
A light rain fell all night
and predicted for today.
So my tulips and crocus all nestled in their pots
have a good start.
An inside day today
and all is well....
I have to add
all of my online friends
are the best in the world.

Mouthwatering - that upside down cake!
Apple upside down cake sounds and look delicious! I don't think I've ever heard of it before. Would you share your recipe?
Have a nice afternoon ~ FlowerLady
Oh my, the cake looks delicious! What a treat for a rainy day! And, a special treat (not cake) for Callie? Maybe just an extra pat.
Rebecca, and Chip Butter, :)
Lorraine, will post :)
Looks delicious, as all your culinary creations do! Hope you're having a lovely indoor-day :-).
I also made an apple upside down cake...but used a mix for the cake part. Not great, but edible.
Tabor, mine was wonderful and used a small Jiffy one layer cake mix. Brown sugar and butter melted in my mother's iron skillet along with apples, cranberries and walnuts next and cake mix on top of the. Have used from scratch but this is just as good and easier.
Do the pineapple the same way
and always a hit. Did you do it a different way ?
Pienosole, :)
Oh this cake looks delightfully delicious! Apples and cranberries. Have not noticed the cranberries here in South Carolina upstate as yet.
It is warmer here today, and yet still cool. Third time Darrell has lighted a fire outside. I love to sit and watch the fire. Today we at boiled peanuts. Yum.
All is well here too. ((hugs))
This cake looks good. I also bought some cranberries and made cranberry, apple, walnut salad.
I would have had a bit for breakfast, then lunch..oh, maybe just a tiny piece for afternoon snack, and of course some with supper. :-) You and I seem to be on the same path, in our thinking of times past. We have become smarter with age--in how we relate to our children. Never to give advice unless asked--and I am rarely asked--and that is a good thing.
Sandy, Barb and Judy, thanks for visiting. Barb how did you make your salad ?
Yes Judy, my cake is 1/2 gone :)
So festive! Would be a perfect addition to the holiday brunch table for those who enjoy the bigger, celebratory meal in the evening.
Sky, it will be a part of Thanksgiving desert table :)
and maybe Christmas
it is my new favorite and so simple to make...
