We hear them around here....and the rabbit population is really down due to the coyotes. I have read that they are attracted to pet food and water bowls...also bird feeders... especially suet.I have heard of them killing small dogs....keep Callie close.
Your coyote is really a pretty one. I rather like them, but most of the folks around here don't share my feelings. I think they are more frightened of us than we are of them. My dad would say, "They are just trying to make a living."
We see coyotes quite often here. Not long ago, while hauling hay, there was a young one, who stayed a short distance from us in the shade of a bale, watching us. It reminded me of a small puppy. But they can be a threat to baby calves.

Oh dear. These are almost as worrisome as mountain lions. Hope he moves on to other feeding sites.
