Special Gift

A busy day
grass finally cut
2 small trees cut down
need more sun in the garden.

My granddaughter and I are pulling out of drive
to pick up a pizza
and notice a special friend by her car.
She tells me that she has put several items
on the screen porch for me.

It is October
and look at these Iris.
I have never heard of these plants
that bloom several times a year.
Look at the color of one of them,
they are magnificent and did not
plan on planting anything else in this small garden.
But may :)

How beautiful this is
and a piece of 2 different cakes
that are new to me.
A blueberry and chocolate
and must have the recipes.

An enjoyable day
and Polly you made it even more special.

Thank You
Dear Friend....

How wonderful to have such a friend! I have never seen or heard of irises that bloom in the fall; a special treat for sure. Lovely color too! And who wouldn't be thrilled with two kinds of cake!!

I have heard of ever blooming Iris, but never seen them. No one around here has them--I wonder why? Love the Bromeliad plant, or whatever it is. and of course, lust after your blue and green glass on the window ledge!!

Hi Ernestine,
I love love love....those iris. Are they scented like the ones that just bloom in the spring?
What a nice surprise....two kinds of cake and a pizza to share with your grand daughter.
Have a nice evening,
Balisha

I have heard of re-blooming iris adn I thought that I bought some...but none are blooming in my yard, so I guess not. Wonderful that you have friends drop off lovely things like that.
