Cold

Yoga
Breakfast

Callie outside
Will not come inside
Rolling in snow

Bundled up warm
Bird feeders filled
Spotted huge bird at dusk
Owl or hawk

Good morning to bake
Housework and
Desk work

Temperature says
Stay inside

Many years ago
She felt the cold
calling her and
invigorating

Not at this time

Wherever I am, the world comes after me.
It offers me its busyness. It does not believe
that I do not want it. Now I understand
why the old poets of China went so far and high
into the mountains, then crept into the pale mist.

Tabor, thank you. Oh - wish I had your skills. Would like to upgrade my camera sometime.
Just trying to keep my sanity as I am a shut in.
Making sour cream choclate chip cookies - going to add some cranberries to half the batch for color and see what they taste like :)

Looking at your "snow" picture I "feel" the cold.

Inside and cozy is the way to go!

Love the Mary Oliver!

Blessings.

We've got minus 10C tonight, that's cold too. Your cold photo makes me want to stay inside. Every Blessing in the warm!

Your day sounds a bit like mine. I find when it is this cold that I do modified yoga in bed! It is so cold here in Virginia I have taken to cooking. I don't cook. Yesterday it was a stew, today a huge pot of chili. It was however a bit warmer today- I did not wear my hat in the house. Lovely photos and words. Stay warm-

our temperatures mimic yours. I used to love being out in the cold and snow--not so much anymore. Is that the reason old people move to Florida or Arizona? The cold hurts when you are old(er).

We have been breezing along here in the Northeast with some pretty nice temperatures. Then this morning it was 10 degrees! Brrrr. Time to bake some cookies:)

Mary Oliver is a favorite of mine.
