At The Moment

This new sign is at home among my herbs.
First daylillie to bloom
and many more in the next day or two.
I must add
it looks like several weeks of rain has stopped.
Every item in my room has a special meaning and reminds me that I am loved.
On my nightstand
a candle from my son, another from a daughter,
special balm from a granddaughter, a small clock from a trip to St Thomas many years ago.
5 books that never fail to bring comfort and peace as I go to sleep at night.  These words
especially needed this last week.
On my bed a quilt made by my mother and has her name on it,  an afghan purchased in Atlanta many years ago, a pillow made by a special friend
years ago and now she has been gone about 14 years.
In this room also painting of flowers a gift from my children's father, a basket of recent cards and notes
from family.
My favorite books in a bookcase, an item from my grandmother and on and on and
this one
has shared enough.

Death of a neighbor and of another one  has caused my children
a lot of thoughts. Seems it passed on to me.

My mother and grandmother were superstitious
and so many times would repeat sayings to me
that I really do not believe
but wonder....

They predicted the time my children were born
and whether girl or boy
have to say
some of it was correct :)

Another
that deaths come in 3's
and there have been 2 this week.

But then I read one time that the number 3 is a lucky number.
Time - past, present and future
Day - morning, noon and night
Primary colors - red, yellow and blue.

3 is a lucky number :-). You have made a lovely home and garden. Thank you again for sharing your photos.
Wishing you a pleasant evening.

If you believe that death comes in 3s, then it does. Personally I think death comes all the time and I am going to ignore it and look toward tomorrow's sun and ponder on all the treasures you have in your bedroom and think how I should do more of that in my decorating.

Tabor, do not really believe this about death - but remember older family members - repeating this many times. I am ignoring it also :)
Did not plan on placing these special items in their place
just seemed it happened.
Pienosole, thank you
as always ....

The sign in your herbs is so cute and colorful. Your home looks pretty and tranquil. My home looks like it has been picked up and shaken. Chaotic. My 4 year old grandson was here today. I'm resting tonight.

The superstition about death coming in 3's is one I have heard, but do not believe. Wonder if it came from past times when various epidemics would sweep through families and communities.

Yeah--I hear that all the time--sometimes it seems to be that way, but.........can't do a thing about it. When it is time--it is time and all we can hope for is that enough people still like us to make a fairly nice number in attendance at our funeral, LOL. Your bedroom is tranquil and "gentle" looking. I too have a few family heirlooms in my bedroom.

It looks like a great garden ... and room. As for predictions, I predict that if one makes enough of them, some will come true. :)

It happens when it happens and nothing in the world can tell us when that will be.

You are loved, you have a gentle and fulfilled life, take each days in both hands and enjoy it, if you can.

Sometimes we are sad; even that is part of life.
