New Day

A new morning
of a new day beginning
I stepped out onto the deck
to see if I could capture
the peaceful view.
Today
I will remember what this message is telling me.
The bread bag I ordered online
seems to help.
Do not use a lot of bread, wish there were 1/2 loaves of the type I like.
Freeze some
but like it not frozen.
Putting 1/2 loaf in this bread bag
keeps it fresh longer
and freeze the rest.

In the 50's today
and then plunging to zero again for a few days.
Weather is like a roller coaster...

Beautiful afternoon here ~ getting in more firewood for the coming cold days this week. I'm hoping you stay warm and safe through it all.

Charlotte, thanks to you always for checking in with me.
I hope you stay safe and warm
also...

Wish it would get 50 degrees here--just for one day to give us ease. The Polar Vortex is riding the jet stream which is dipping way down south this week. Even I, who likes winter, is getting a bit tired of all this. Love your photo showing the early morning moon.

You will not be surprised to learn that my travels here in central Florida are almost too cold to enjoy! I have not once put on a swimming suit or even shorts!! It is in the high 40's in the morning and barely gets above 60 by noon.

Tabor, I heard about this from daughter in Tampa. At least you were away for a few days.
Judy, yes we are all weary of this...

OK. I make my own bread and what I do is I immediately wrap it 2 slices at a time, in wax paper tightly, then place the wrapped slices in tight plastic bag (all air knocked out) and freeze and then take out the wrapped 2 slices at a time.
Beautiful and fresh. It never fails.

Stay safe - and I do love your bread bag!!

Such a beautiful photograph, Ernestine. It must be so quiet and beautiful there in the early morning.
Do let us know how the bread bag works. It is a problem having bread in the house when you are just one person. I have the same issue, and just keeps some nice small rolls I buy locally in the freezer. Only way I can do it.
Hear the next round of cold will be very deep. Snuggle into your haven for the duration!

That is a very peaceful scene. I love your tall trees that we miss here in Hawaii.
