Sunday Ending

The end of a long, rainy, alone day.
Much cooler in the morning.

Looked outside and noticed the beautiful sunset
Basil is blooming
and have never seen these blooms before
Soybean field
is beginning to turn

Beginning of shadows on the wall,
a new one on the loft wall.
Sharing

Lovely photos of your sunset, inside and out.

Those blooms look like a sage to me, pineapple sage maybe. Basil leaves look different and have tiny flowers compared to these.

Maybe someone else with more knowledge will be able to help you with this.

Have a great week. Your pkg. will get mailed this week. I wasn't able to do it last week.

Love and hugs ~ FlowerLady

I agree, Lorraine. I believe that is pineapple sage.

Lorraine, the little tag on the plant purchased in the Spring - said Basil. Looking forward to your suprise :) Sallysmom, do not know about the plant and you dand L
are probably correct. The bloom is pretty and bright.

have you seen hummingbirds in your pineapple sage? They love it.
I don't know what zone you are, but I'm thinking that it might be too cold for it outside. You could bring it in for the winter.
Do you bring in other herbs?

Beautiful photos. Rainy, windy and cool here too. In the 40's this morning.

Balisha, oh yes I love my hummingbirds and wish I had space to bring plants inside. May bring cuttings inside and put in utility room. Most of my herbs are now 4 years old, hardy and come back every year.
Judy, thank you - I turned heat on this morning for a while. Not in the past but have to now.
Miss my wood burning like in the past...

Ernestine, such beautiful pictures from your life in the woods! And I agree: the plant looks like pineapple sage--exactly like the ones blooming in my yard right now!
