He Smiled

He smiled and  complimented me
I smiled
made no reply...
Not going there
been there
done that
Was nice for a moment....

but signs of wisdom taking root
old stems talking to younger ones
inhabiting the beauty of change"

Thankful for Kaveri
who
always has words that speak to my heart...

Those little moments can be smiles in the heart. At least we know we are still alive!

Do not avoid friendship because you are afraid of something more.

Oh yes - Judy still alived.
Tabor, trust me, I will not avoid if I think it would add something to my life.
But I probably dated from 42 until 68 a number you would not believe
98% brought no pleasure and time wasted. If it is right I will know.

I like the white hairs being signs of wisdom taking root.

All the same, a smile is always a pleasure. Smiling back is free and will return pleasure.

I like feeling like I am alive but like you, I wasted a lot of time on possibilities that did not work out in the long run.

If there is one regret I'm sorry I did not keep that energy for me.

I do not choose romantic partners well.

if we were near
we could probably share a lot of stories. Like you - I wasted a lot a whole lot of time.
