Colder Mornings

Heat is on for a short time, days begin in the 40's.

Just pulled the down comforter off of the top shelf to put on my bed.
Remember 35 years ago living in the drafty old farmhouse that I could not stay warm at night.  Wish I could have slept in front of the nightly wood stove that was burning (would pull my chair up in front of it at night and read, miss a wood burning fire)  sharing with special daughter who lives in upper Michigan.   She told me I needed a down comforter, ordered one, mine is that old and so warm it is.

Thank you Mary....

So off the shelf, put in the dryer to fluff and to think how old this one is, they never wear out.  Use to keep a cotton cover on it, but now leave it bare.  Shopping with a special friend who is now deceased
spotted this pillow in the window of a small shop, (Happily Every After) bought it and she said "it needs fringe and I will put it on for you"  Clarice you are missed, never anyone like you has come along.

Returning from ultrasound late yesterday (later then I like to be out) coming down the country road
their were 2 rainbows in the sky, they always bless me when I see them, wish I had my camera with me.

A day at home, hopefully attending to much that has been left undone.

Thank you joared, never thought of medical marijuana.   Therapist called and coming this afternoon, I asked does anyone in this community use this, his answer "a lot" and if you ever took it you would
gain weight.   Good I replied need about 8 lbs.

So day is beginning on the mat, breakfast.

Sun to shine, nice as now I go to bed it is dark and up and it is dark.

A heart full of thankfulness continues and will be glad when I hear results of ultrsound in a week.

This post was restorative for me. I do not know why, except your being on the track seems to help keep me from taking the wrong track!!

Good morning Ernestine. Always happy to see your posts. Send some of your cold weather to Arizona. We are still having temps in the high 90's. Have two friends who have had the knee injections you spoke about. They were very happy with the results, let us all know if you decide on same. Glad you mentioned the medical marijuana. I think in the future I will also have to look into this. Too much back pain to deal with, especially during those long painful nights. Don't know anyone who uses the medical marijuana but I think in these days of opioid news and crisis no one wants to mention their use of drugs for pain. Such a shame as there are those of us who suffer so much. I love your photos and so glad you post them. Wishing you a good week and keeping you in my prayers. Lenora

Sure wish it was possible for me to give you 8 of MY pounds! That's about exactly what I'd like to lose!

Turning cold here too. Maybe first frost of the season this evening!

I'd make a great hibernator! I lose all desire to leave the warmth of the house. Surrounded by books and an afghan, I'd be happy to emerge next spring.

It would make me feel so weird if I used the Mary Jane and someone found out. You will not believe the ranting advice I gave my teens about using it back in the day. I think it would scare me to use it. I would be afraid of the effect it would have on me. I can see myself out dancing in the street or something equally embarrassing. LOL

Rebecca, me too.
Lenore, :)
Judy, in my 80's if I could dance in the street
I would smile :)
like you in the past and now for me
whatever it takes too enjoy, smile on these days left.
But so far take nothing, just my early morning (my good time thoughts)
and Tramadol, passed out on the floor first time taking 1 pill. Never again...

I don't know if you or your readers who have commented about using marijuana would be interested but Ronni on the Time Goes By blog http://www.timegoesby.net has posted some excellent info regarding it. She has cancer right now and has found it really useful for sleeping. Other commentators mention the relief from pain that they get. And she, like a lot of us this age, was reluctant at first to try it. That said, I love your beautiful leaves falling. Here in Washington State we are experiencing similar weather.

Mary, thank you, read Ronni but not constantly, did not know she was using
I use so little, but have severe arthritis pain and now this healthy one has a knee problem
Have finally learned, nothing last forever even if you take good care of yourself.
Thankful for the mind :)
