September News - Some Of It

Blooming
Wish I was there - Koi Samui, Thailand - can't you kidnap me and take your mama :)

My recently married granddaughter
has traded her days
from a busy New York cubicle
for the classroom.
In training for teaching at a private school in New York.
This has so many wonderful  lifetime rewards
from being a part of children's education, watching them develop
and just a little less stressful then a busy New York world career...
So happy for her
and a thought does anyone do cursive writing anymore?

My youngest granddaughter has just started a creative writing practice
and will be so exciting to see her progress and subjects she decides to write about.
This is  the one at such a young age has always had a way with words:)
Her latest when my daughter called " this little one said "can I stay home from school today
and be your slave" - oh my is that what you call it when helping mom :)

For years I have wanted Cosmos
and never could get them to grow.
Some shared with me in the Spring
and look at this
and other Fall blooms.

I never wanted many
pink flowers in my garden,
guess it is better then nothing at this time of the year...

News this last week
another young granddaughter
fractured her ankle during a soccer game.
Wearing a boot that you pump up
and since she is young and healthy
quick healing thoughts from grandma.....

So
on this morning
it is 60 degrees
my kind of weather
and windows are open :)

What a rich life you lead through those you love. I hope someday you will be able to travel to Thailand...never give up.

I can barely write anymore, and I always did write oddly, doing some letter more in their print variation. I am so odd. Congrats to granddaughter.

So nice you wrote about cursive writing. I will never let my beautiful Palmer Method cursive writing go. especially because it looks like my mother's penmanship and that of all my sisters. My children do not use it although they were taught. We shall see what happens as Teddy progresses in writing.
Lovely flowers....I do adore cosmos and they bloom so long in to the Fall.
We have the same beautiful morning here today! Love it.
Wishes for your wee ones ankle to heal quickly.

Cursive Writing is on its way out in our schools. Sad.

I am hoping it gets UP to 60 here today. 49 when I woke up this morning.

What a newsy letter! Love the blooms, and the island looks so peaceful.

I hope your grand-daughter's ankle heals soon.

Lovely cosmos I would grow them in Toronto and they would self-seed. Here I can't grow a thing but weeds. Beach blossoms grow themselves.

Love the stories of your family and yes my wish is for you to get to Thailand :)

Aren't you the lucky one to have such beautiful flowers at this end of summer!

I can barely write now; my mind gets ahead of my hand and I find that I leave out some letters. :(

Charlotte, it seems the camera has a way of making everything look beautiful. Garden to me looks almost dead, weeds everywhere
and insects attacking my turnip greens :) But some blooms when taking an image of them alone
look beautiful :)

I try for cursive!

I love beautiful cursive.

But can not "do" it, even as well as I used to be able to.

But I still work on it. :-)

And am shocked that so many young people, will never even be taught it, anymore. Lucky those, who are.

Gentle hugs,
Tessa~

To have blooms this late in the season is a delight. Glad you are having cooler temps. We are happy if it gets up into the 60's this time of year. What a pleasure to have time with family ~
