Beauty From Surrounding Fields

These beauties
have the most wonderful scent.

A gift from nature
to this one,
just growing wild in the field.
and put all over this cottage..
and I say
"thank you."

How pretty....they are blooming in my yard too. The squirrels eat my tulips, but not these.

We see so many places, which were obviously old home sites, with mounds of yellow, and I wonder, who planted these? and how long have they been planted and continue blooming? These truly brought spring right inside for you!

They are short lived but so very welcome. I love my daffodils and bring in bunches every day.

Oh yes!!! and when the Lilacs bloom and I can bring in bunches of them? Heaven sent (scent). My Forsythia doesn't even have a tinge of yellow as yet--and my Daffs and Tulips are only up about 4 inches--but---we'll get there!!

You are blessed to have them growing in the wild for you to pick and enjoy in your home. My SIL sent me some in a pkg from her home in TN and I have them pressed in a journal she sent to me. I would love to be able to smell these growing in gardens. I'll have to lean into them at the grocery store this week to see if I can detect any scents.

Have a wonderful Easter week ~ FlowerLady

The flowers are beautiful! I don't know what I have been doing to be away so long, but, I caught up with all your posts. I know you are so happy to be outside. I bought my first Mary Oliver book...
