Small Kitchen Garden

Rain washed some of the seeds away
Will replace in the morning

Remaining
lettuce, collard greens, Egyptian onions,
tomato's, green pepper, potatoes
Some showers and cloudy this day
drove further into the country
for lunch with a friend.
Nice to be out
did not miss
digging in the dirt...

Ernestine, you take and share such lovely pictures. It is like being there looking at things with you. Thank you, and I am sure I am not the first to tell you that the photo in your header is strikingly beautiful. I love to see it when I log into your blog.

A perfect kitchen garden. Doesn't the food taste so much better when picked fresh?

Sally, Tabor, Sandra, thanks for visiting
I have had a problem with my blog entries --- Asked for some help and also tried myself -- so looks normal again.
So thankful as with my limited knowledge of the computer world and I love writing and posting images for family and friends - it sure stresses me when all is not well.

I just saw Egyptian onions on someone else's blog. What exactly are they?
Your blog header photo is a show stopper!!

Good to hear the blog issues have been resolved. I know how frustrating that can be. Always nice to visit here. We have been busy in the gardens lately - we finally got some sunshine!

Wonderful! I wish I was dropping by for a salad soon! I will be gardening in pots on the back patio of my rental house this year, I believe, and need to get started! Your photos inspire me! :)

Nan, Sky and Asling, thank you for visiting. Nan, the onions, I read about them somewhere and ordered. Available from seed catalogs.
They come up every year and multiply. Also onions are on the top? So will see what happens.
I wanted to order the old fashion multiplying onion and they were out and recommended this one.

Ernestine, reading this lovely post makes me realize just how far north and behind you we are in planting gardens - it will be a few weeks until we dare to plant anything here. The veggie garden has been readied, but it is still too cold here to plant anything - the danger of frost will be with us until the end of the month.

Cate, it is always like a special gift to me - when you comment.
It is in the 40's this morning.
My weather is up and down. Some plantings survived and doing well, others have not emerged from the soil and a few I want to still plant. This is a very small garden but it sufficient for me and also sometimes have some to share with my daughter :)
