Memories And Dusting

Dusting this early morning
on the upstairs loft
memories
shells from the beach in Jamaica
one found on the bottom of a pool
grandfather's cow bell
petrified wood
crystal's from my son's collection
everywhere I look
there are
memories....

"If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing I'd like to do
Is to save everyday
till Eternity passes away"            ~~Time In A Bottle~~   Jim Croce

I might add
save some day's :)

One of my favorite songs. Love the collection.

I have small things placed throughout the house that remind me of special times. I enjoy those memories, too, although I don't dust as often as I should:)

Sharon, dusting is not my favorite also. Judy, thanks for visiting - feel better soon...

I suppose we cannot save entire days but perhaps moments, like shells and stones remain in our hearts and minds, treasures to savor.

The treasure that move us, often move others, to gather our passions and save them for later.

I hear your yearning to travel and explore. May you feel well enough to do so. Till then, may the inner exploration be just as exciting as the outer one.

That song was one of the first songs that ever made me cry... We are surrounded by blessings and you are a pro at bringing them out and "dusting them off".

I love the Jim Croce song.... Looking at the crystal makes me think of Forrest, he chose one yesterday for his graduation from kindergarden gift from his parents. He loved it....
