Ever Thankful

It rained during the night
deck is wet
the woods look like a rain forest
everything is so lush and green
They say the rain is over and
high temperatures due for coming week

A day of errands
help with grass cutting to arrive

A good night
busy day
ever thankful
for this gift of life....

With the heat and humidity green mansions emerge.

Everything here is so lush. We should enjoy it while it lasts. It looks like your visitor likes the treat that you put out for him. Have a wonderful weekend...ours will be hot too.

Hope you have a nice weekend....
That blue jay looks like he is having a good day!

I never think to put suet cake out in the summertime. My perennials this spring are enormous--thanks to our huge snowfalls last winter and the wet spring. The May Apples and Jack-In-The-Pulpits in my little woodland garden are well over 2 feet tall--amazing.

i don't put suet cakes out in summer. in GA it was so hot i knew it would be a greasy mess. out here we have a moderate, marine climate, but i reserve them for higher protein needs in winter. we are encouraged to remove all feeders in summer because of black bears in the area, but i can't bring myself to do that!

have a great holiday weekend, ernestine! we are hoping for sunshine.

Tabor, Balisha, Beverly, Judy and Sky - thanks for visiting.
Just returned from errands.
I just put the suet cakes out occasionaly. With me new here in the wood I am trying to keep the birds coming to my feeders.

Your ever-changing header photos are wonderful! My husband spied a humming bird in our yard this week and said we should put out a feeder. I think I will leave him in charge of that. I will keep planting flowers that may interest them.
