Blooming In The Rain

Daily rains are still visiting
I wear a long sleeve shirt
to help with the mosquito problem
Hollyhocks one of my favorite
old fashion flowers
My daughter sent the seeds
from Massachusetts
I brought cuttings from city cottage
Was hoping it was the purple plant
Do not want to hurt your feelings
was hoping for purple
have to admit
you are a beauty.....

Hollyhock and Hydrangeas they are perfect and I love them!

How does your garden grow? Beautifully dear friend.

Thank you for sharing.

I think your daughter was also hoping you would plant some of the seeds of love within you. Look at those flowers, Ernestine.

Perhaps the most beautiful flower of all is the one who is taking the photos.

I remember seeing hollyhocks as a child but have never grown them. These are lovely.

Hi and thank you! I got your message and comforting to know I may have been missed. To be truthful I have been dealing with a pretty nasty medical issue and have been depressed and unmotivated. With the return of sunshine I am sensing a return of hope and determination. Thank you, thank you, thank you for checking on me.

Lonely Rivers, I love the way you write and have missed you. Medical issues I am aware of - have some in my life. Please take care and write and share when you feel led to.
Sending you blessings and hoping for a good day for you...

I just can't get Hollyhocks to grow. Got seeds from the ancestor's farm and hoped and hoped, but too no avail. I will try again to be sure.

So beautiful. I love hollyhocks and hydrangeas and they really thrive here in our seacoast air. They obviously are thriving in your garden, too.
Soothing peaceful thoughts to you!

I remember Hollyhocks growing next to my Grandma's garage. We would spend hours just playing on a blanket, on the lawn...making Hollyhock dolls and Daisy chains.
Your Hollyhocks are beautiful.

Your flowers are so beautiful. I finally got outside yesterday and today to plant and transplant for the first time this year! Then I kept going to the window to see if plants had perked up, which is silly but a clue that we are so ready for spring.

Sharon, not silly checking on your plants. I do all the time. Can see them grow over night :)
