Highlight Of Day

Busy morning as it was first time leaving the woods in almost two weeks. Still had to drive through some water which made me uncomfortable.

Errands in town - two groceries, gas in vehicle, post office, trash delivery, Goodwill drop off, stop at hospital for blood work, pickup at friend's home, and on and on.

Arrived home at noon (Callie sitting in front field waiting for her master to return which never fails to squeeze my heart) began awaiting man to place drains on downspouts to help water flow.

Groceries brought in, phone kept ringing, grass to be cut and on and on.

Phone rings and a voice says "grandma it is Gavin - can I drive to the country and visit with you?"

Needless to say grandma was pleased. Exams were finished yesterday and tomorrow he heads home for Tampa and think with this busy time he was going to drive to the country to visit.

What an exciting rest of the year is in store for this special grandson. A few weeks at home with mom and dad and then an internship in New York. Nice because his sister is in that area. Then this fall a term will be spent abroad.

When I think of the opportunities that unfold for my grandchildren - it surely makes me smile and pleases my heart.

Lunch at the local country drugstore and then on the Woodhaven. Such a delight to listen to him share and to see him just relaxing. Many memories of times in the past when visits were made to this property.

I wanted to post pictures of him from the time he was a toddler and would visit grandma in the country - but - alas computer and scanner acting up.

Just wanted to share that One Woman's day ended with a smile on her face and a thankful heart.

Safe traveling wishes and prayers for safety are going out for you today - my special one.

Tabor and Jamie - thanks for the kind comments. Just received call that police are patroling this area. Someone loose. Sheriff would not give me anymore information. So another eventful day!!!!!!
