I followed the directions perfectly. Do not have a popover pan but used custard cups. Put oil in the bottom - but did not grease the cups.
Well, one popover slid out and looked presentable. The other 3 were stuck in the custard cup but they were still tasty. Next time will not forget to grease cups.
So with my butternut squash soup this evening I had some hot bread.
Thank you Nan this will be an easy addition to some of my evening meals.
An evening entry from One Woman
Post later in day - Hey, I know it is super cold. Going down to 4 degrees in the morning. But no snow - so I am wondering why our area schools are closed tomorrow. My youngest daughter will have her little girls home tomorrow.
There are areas of this type of temperature and colder and snow. Wonder if their schools are closed. I think not - but I could be wrong.

YUMMY, I am hungry and that looks so good right now. Guess I had better go look for something for breakfast!
Judy, this recipe is so easy and they are tasty. Get tired of crackers with soup. Except with chili. It is bitter cold here.
Have a good day.
I wonder if they would hold well if frozen for a few weeks to be eaten at a later date?
My word verification is
impowed...cool no?
OOOOOOOOh...that sounds so good.
Enjoy!

I'm just thrilled you tried them, and as I wrote on my comments, I intend to grease the cups next time, too. As for Tabor's question, they are really meant to be eaten immediately. That's why I scoff down 3 in a very few minutes time. :<)
Tabor, Grammie and Nan - thanks for the comment. Nan they were so good. I saved one to have with chili today. Will see how it does warmed up.
I love Popovers...but can make them to save my life! Gosh that brought back great memories...my Mom was brilliant at that kind of thing (I didn't inherit her baking gene...).
Anyway, thank for the comment on my blog. The four agreements is one of my very favorite books. I remembered the power of words...but forgot not to take it personally... Thankfully all is resolved :)
Caroline, thanks for checking in.
These popovers are easy and I know you would have success. The Four Agreements is a powerful book.
Bought mine when it first came out. I try to remember those 4 statements - but sometimes forget to use them.
Popovers are really great....I love them with butter and honey but only as a rare treat. Yours look delicious!
I saw on the news tonight just how cold it is your way. We will be below zero tonight and had snow all day! It was so beautiful.
Stay warm...
Marcia, stay warm and thanks for checking in. I need to move to the tropics. Does your daughter need a caretaker for their vacation home!!!
