New Recipe

Cranberries so good for you
never used in the past except during Christmas.
Now using in a number of recipes
including on my once a week
flax seed waffle with maple syrup.

Seasonal and lower price at this time and am putting
in the freezer along with last summers blueberries and strawberries.

Cranberry Orange Pound Cake
made several hours ago
on this cloudy morning....

Baking, cooling and glazed.
Recipe by Chef in Training, http://www.chef-in-training.com/

Good, but thought comes to mind
that I have so many great, much used recipes collected for 50 years
need to stop adding more to my file.

I took out some rhubarb so will make jam, I didn't have a spit of jam on hand, imagine, first time in forever.

I make a similar loaf as you with whatever's on hand.

I'm going to try molasses bread soon.

I know what you mean about collecting recipes, I have to stop too.

I have a bag of fresh cranberries in the fridge and this recipe looks delicious!!!!

I can't quit collecting recipes either, and I have over 300 cookbooks. :-)

WWW and Lorraine, moving and building 3 times after 70
most cook books were given away.
Now have about a dozen of my favorite and recipe file with many recipes (all so old).
I am cooking a lot since so dreary, cold and because of sickness if some do not arrive
will put in freezer.
Have not felt like reading and do better when I keep moving and keep mind occupied. Enough shared :)

Once again you have made me hungry and guilty for not baking something right now!

This looks wonderful ~ if only I could get interested in baking. Recipes are not my thing :) I do make a fruitcake for Christmas most every year. It's good that you have this to occupy yourself on these dark, gloomy days.
