Beautiful Sun

The sun is beginning to shine,
it never did yesterday
so melting of snow and ice continues,
maybe I can go outside after lunch :)

When you do not feel like cooking or baking
this was tasty
yesterday
corn chips covered with black beans, tomato, cheese, avocado,
a side of quinoa and a slice of store bought cake from the freezer.
May repeat it again today.

A hyacinth in my bedroom makes me think Spring
and the scent is heavenly.

Years ago
the old farm house
and this land
was a retreat
 for me
far from the world
I had known.
A place where this one
could slow down,
garden, read all types of books,
fiction, philosophy, poetry
her bible
and search for meaning
of much.

Even with a Winter that seemed longer then most
this one is ever thankful
I was able to return
to this land
4 1/2 years ago.

Your food always looks so delicious and healthy and interesting rather than common. Maybe you should collect these recipes and meals and put together a small book for the single woman?

Tabor, thank you

Surely - they need no help :)
Sandy, thank you
sun barely out
and drive still icy

It was a lovely sunny day here today too. Maybe into the 40's tomorrow. We can always hope.

So happy you have the sun and your pretty table and delicious-looking food, brought me right to Spring. Hoping the ice clears out for you with this warm-up.

You really do have a flair for setting a lovely table, even for one. Your food always looks deliciously beautiful. Surely, you were out and about today...warmer days are here!

I love your still lifes and the scrollwork and the snow.

I've been so busy, no time for blog reads but caught up with you tonight.

Daughter and I managed some hikes when the thermometer climbed to zero Celsius. But alas, alack, 25cm of snow forecast for tonight. But spring sounds, ducks and loons on the water/ice.

Hope.
