Rain

Night  arrived,
lightning filled the sky,
 howling winds were blowing
and the torrential rains fell.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing this
parched land with rain.

The rain and wind so heavy that I would
not have been surprised to see a tree
across my road or some damage
this early morning.

All is well
and all of nature is smiling
and that includes me
and Miss Callie.

It is amazing how rain from the
heavens can make everything look beautiful

There is even one new bloom in the garden

Nature heals quickly
and so does
One Woman....

So very happy you finally got some rain, and also happy you escaped the more violent storms that hit elsewhere. The clematis is so perfect, and you can tell it has been given a gift by the storm.

We finally got rain and it is amazing the changes in the trees and flowers. I can see little bits of new growth on all of them.

I am still enjoying this journey with you. I am taking time to copy some of your wonderful recipes. At the top of each card I write ~From Woodhaven. Bran Muffins sound wonderful!

Marcia and sallysmom, oh yes, the rain has helped the soil and me..
Mary, I love this recipe and have not made in a while. I always half and put in small muffin papers. Still makes about 14...

A single gentle rain makes the grass many shades greener. So our prospects brighten on the influx of better thoughts.

Such a lovely poem, and your new bloom is lovely. I used to have clematis at my mailbox, but the yard men kept cutting it down.

Judy, thank you for visiting.
This a new clematis that was planted this summer by my screen porch. The bloom was an unexpected pleasure this morning..

Thankful for your rain; still none here to measure, just all around us, almost close enough to reach out and grab a drop. At least the temp was below 100 today! Grasshoppers have stripped my clematis down to the stems. ;(

I share your love of rain, and especially the day after.

Here is to the parched Earth's healing and your healing.

Those kind of storms often scare me--I am afraid my wee house will be blown away. But it never had. Now I have become braver--all alone, I have no one to pander to my fears, so.....I look at the TV to see the storm track, put my ear plugs in to protect against the startle effect from the thunder and say, "You want me? Come and get me!"

Judy, all you do is fine. But I do not listen to the TV at this time or weather predictions. Have never been correct for me and if watch I almost become fearful.
So do not watch and just go to bed and I am fine.
