January Dawn

I opened the door
to let Miss Callie out

Stepped onto
the deck
this crisp cold morning

Yesterday it was 60 degrees
this morning in the 20's
weather you are
up and down
daily

Looked up at the sky
beautiful....

when there is so much to explore
between the road and my own doorstep?"

You have beautiful morning skies. I woke up to temps in the 30's, warm in comparison to what is predicted for the next couple days. The best news is that yesterday's snow is melting off the driveway.

i see a woman's face at the top of the first photo, possibly an Indian Crone....awesome display of fog.

wishing you a happy day.

It is like our part of the world cannot decide to have winter or not....Like the quote very much!

Loved the Thoreau quote. It dipped down to the 20's here in California, too! Brrrr.

The photos are stunning.

Same weather here ~~ and the same beautiful waning moon. I look out every morning to see how much smaller it is and then in a few days I'll see it in the west. This facinates me.
