Pleasing

After a nice shower on Friday evening
everything has come back to life.
The soybeans surely needed this rain.
Looks so fresh and clean.
This view from my front porch
I find so pleasing....
For 50 years I deep clean Spring and Fall
I will do a little every day
Use Murphy's Oil soap
washing all furniture and everything I can reach.
Books will come off shelves, picture frames,
mirrors, blinds, windows and even garage.
Strange how we sometimes  have a routine that
stays constant over the years.
The main differance is that it use to be perfomed
in a week and now it takes many weeks.
Most important it is done.
That time has returned for the matriarch of
Woodhaven.

You and I are in the same mood. I do these things both spring and fall and a bit just before we put our Christmas things out.I use Murphy's Oil too..
Wonderful how a shower can help green things up. I saw a couple of trees starting to change color just yesterday.Have a wonderful day.. Balisha

I can remember my mother even had different slip covers for the couch and chairs and different curtains that she changed for spring and fall.

Balisha, thank you. Just did my bedroom - one room finished :)
Just earlier this year. In the past seems I did not do this until in September...
I am good until lunch and now I will slow down.
Have not written about it but moving slow. I injured my foot.
Might be the stiff pedal on the lawn tractor.
Judy, thank you for visiting.

One Woman, The Matriarch of WoodHaven Cottage. Yes, I like it.

Cleaning, well now I have an RV, much smaller space.

DH and I are still sorting through everything at the house. It is hard to let go of thing and I end up befuddled over it.

Taking your time with the cleaning, it is so nice you can!

Happy day sweet One Woman, Matriarch of Woodhaven.

Ernestine, I haven't visited for a while. I love your gentle ramblings. They invite us to look deeper into our days and find the magic and joy there - the joy of simple things and contentment. Thanks for this and for your presence of loving-kindness in the world. xo

What a good idea. I still have to do the spring Spring Clean. I could do with help to move furniture etc and when I say to R. "Perhaps we could make a start on the spare room today " I turn round and he's disappeared

I like routine and find comfort in it when life is topsy turvy. I also take satisfaction in a clean house, something I can do when it feels like I can't do anything else.
