Forms Change

Working in the woods early this morning, I noticed this tree.
It brought to mind that aging brings about change.
Some simple changes and some severe like I noticed in this tree.
I wondered
if you could talk
what would you share.
There is an area that is bare of trees.
I can visualize an old bench in the
center of this woodland.
I am clearing brush and cutting with the tractor
in the center of this clearing is a tall tree
probably 75 feet or taller
as I looked up I noticed it had no branches
 a dead tree.
It must be cut down very soon
as I am in this area almost daily and also
family when they visit...

We are something like the trees. We have spiritual roots going deep, our age shows on our skin, we twist and turn with the winds of life.

As beautiful as this tree is, I was glad to read that you've had it taken down. There is no way to predict when or where a dead tree will fall so it's better to take the situation in hand and have it cut down. Now there will be room for the living trees to fill in.
