Hot

This matriarch lives at the edge of the woods.
In the past always cooler in this location
then in the city
always a breeze
 the leaves even
were moving slightly
must be a breeze
but

Yesterday afternoon at 2:30
this is what the thermometer
in the sun on the deck revealed

Wonder what is in store for the summer
 hoping my gardens survive..

We have not had rain in almost two weeks and we also get the heat. Several pockets of heavy thunderstorms just missed us and went to our north last night!

Another lovely 70 degree day here in Michigan--just perfect for working in the gardens--which I will try and do even if only for the few minutes my back and hip allow.

Sounds like your area has jumped ahead to the "dog days of summer". We are not even that hot here in South Florida.

Hope there is enough water where you are for the plants.

Wishing you cooler weather.

my yard is so thirsty....the sprinkler guy cannot come until the end of June, and I have no portable sprinklers...poor yard!

Beverly :)
I have never had anything like that. Yard usually survives but gardens need watering....

We've just had one day of sun out of around 40 of rain and the rain is due back tomorrow!
