One of my granddaughters has started a blog.
This is the granddaughter that is totally vegan.
I have to be careful to have something for her to eat
on her visits.
So impressed with her new blog.
I always learn something from her.
I think I eat healthy
but then
when I read her recommendations
it is not the way this Southern born
and eating grandma is accustom to.
My diet will never be to the extent
that my Sarah's is
but
I am still learning
and very proud of her....

Yea for Sarah! I am certainly not as healthy as she is. Exciting to read about her cooking and healthy lifestyle.
As a person who thinks bacon fat is a nice addition to some meals for flavoring, I will never be that healthy.
Tabor - I am right there with you.
I use very little meat lately but will cook several pieces of crispy bacon to crumble on food :)
Jamie, your email made me smile and trying to think how to enter.
To think you named my big zuchinni
Burt and put sunglasses on him.
Thought you would cook it :)
I found her blog very interesting. My daughter has been a vegetarian since high school...she is in her 50's now...and is seldom sick.My son is a vegetarian too...but hasn't been one as long as my daughter. They aren't vegan, but I have relatives who are.I really admire their committment to keeping their bodies healthy through their diets.I try to eat healthy and feel some guilt, when I eat something that I know isn't good for me. It's a diet that requires a lot of knowledge and will power for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Kudos to her. I'll continue reading her posts.
