Slow Healing

Shadows in the cottage
have once again arrived.

This one
on her healing journey
has returned
to what was successful
after stress filled marriage
and a divorce.

Could not have made it without
God's word....

Also
so helpful continual notes from my son
who is far over the water.

"remember emotions and physical and mental sensations are temporary
the breath is always there - your anchor to mindfulness and serenity"

so this one is  trying to follow the breath, which is helpful with pain and thoughts
but so difficult to do - now able for about 5 minutes.....

When you have been put on massive doses of ANTIBIOTICS
and now off of them
it takes a long time for the body to return to normal.

Yes, they are helpful but do much damage
and with continual yogurt and much more
hopefully I will return to normal.

I craved a fish dinner
but not comfortable driving as of yet
and will probably be about 3 weeks.

  1. If I was nearby, you would have your fish tonight. I hope everyday you feel a little better.
We are in Florida for 8 weeks. It was in the low 80's and now down to mid 60's for a few days. Doesn't matter to us-lots better than in the 20's in Michigan.
    Thinking of you everyday....

  2. Does your market every deliver? It would be a small fee? If you crave fish this is a good sign you are healing but also is a sign of something your diet needs. Maybe a neighbor could run and get some fish for you.

  3. I think of you often. Your son gives you good advise. I wish I lived closer so I could bring you some fish!

  4. No delivery
last week I mentioned to neighbor
    and she brought me fish.
Have to stop asking others and they have been so kind.
    Next week
an angel will take me to early morning doctor appt.
Do not like the mouth issue
    so sore and dry
part of Sjogrens and antibiotics made it worse.

  5. Your son has such lovely encouraging words for you! Not many of us have a son like that.
Don't stop asking for help--I know it can feel humiliating to us, but others get such a good feeling from helping us. (I say, trying to make my own self get passed my prideful nature.)
Slow healing is better than no healing. There, that is my sage advice tonight. :-)

  6. God's word ~ the best of all for comforting one. I'm hoping you'll feel well soon.

  7. I continue to send many positive healing thoughts. May I suggest that you speak with an integrative or naturopathic doctor about healing your gut after the large dose of antibiotics? They can really upset the balance there for a while. I've had this experience, and that itself can cause suffering, particularly around eating and absorbing the nutrients from food. Hugs!

  8. Pienosole, thank you
choosing to live in a rural area
    far from big city
and no such specialist is available.
Doing all I know with my 80 year old wisdom.
Thank you always for your kind encouragement.

  9. Happy New year, I'm late, I know.

Hope you are quickly steadily better and better. Health is the beginning of life for us, it is where we begin. I know you take good care of yourself!

Your son is a blessing to you!

Joel Osteen is a favorite of mine too!! God is my constant.

    Have a Happy Day!

  10. Yogurt is good to counteract the anti-bs. Remember how you felt when others asked for help? That's how most feel when asked. Please do so. I remember after my bad fall when someone called asking if I needed pickups the local store and I hesitated but then gave her a small list on the phone and she was crying when she dropped the bits off she was so thrilled I'd asked her. That's how I feel too when someone asks me.

Your body is healing when it decides about food. Canned salmon or tuna might be helpful. Or sardines.

  11. Wisewebwoman, you are so right, just new to me
to be on the receiving end.
Have salmon, sardines and tuna in pantry
just do not feel like preparing anything.
    Will be so happy
after doctor visit next week and hopefully will find
    out more about sodium plunging.
    Want so
to return to what I called normal...

  12. Thinking of you everyday and wishing I could just drop in. Please let others help you. Asking for help is hard for us strong, independent introverts. But people feel blessed when they can be of service.
