Spring has arrived....
So many plants loaded with big buds.
I asked "what would you like for dinner tomorrow ?"
a reply
"something I do not get in Thailand
"your salmon croquettes for dinner
and for early lunch egg salad."
My friends remark
"now don't you cry when he leaves."
Sorry
cannot do.....

His needs are simple.
ReplyDeleteSo happy he can visit.
Oh yes, spring has come.
Your post is rather like a poem, very nice.
ReplyDeleteHad Salmon patties for supper tonight. Everything looks so wonderful--wish our spring would arrive. Of course you will cry when he leaves--and probably for a day or two afterwards. At our age, there is a small niggle of, "this could be the last time I see him"--am I right?
ReplyDeleteThank you for this lovely, thoughtful post. You words and photos remind me of the memories of spring I am missing here in Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are having a wonderful visit. Salmon patties and egg salad sound great to me.
ReplyDeleteIt is so good to see spring happening there for you.

Life is a roller coaster ride when it is filled with those you love. So guess that is better than having no family. My peonies are much smaller in bud than that.
ReplyDeleteBless your heart, Ernestine; it will be lonely for a while, but at least spring is here and you can occupy yourself outside.
ReplyDeleteAs Terra said, this is really like a poem. really very wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWWW, Tabor, Charlotte and Nan,
ReplyDeletethank you for your kind words.
there is nothing like spending time with our mothers when we live far apart - i am sure this is very special time for him, too! i remember mother, before her health began to fail, always making my favorite dishes when i visited. what a delight it was to anticipate having those special meals!
ReplyDeletespring is showing her lovely face in our gardens, too, and the colors are a thrill to see. glad to hear about the spring projects there. gravel can be tricky when it shifts as we walk. the firm stability of cement will be a welcome resolution. happy spring to you!
Sky, I have missed you and thanks you for visiting...
