Good Way

A good way to start the day

Try it.....

Weather cold at the moment
but have memories of
day beginning on a
 beautiful sunny Spring morning
and beginning the day doing this on my deck
with the sounds of nature in the air.

At this time it is on a mat
in front of glass door
with beautiful Fall colors viewed.

Be careful
if this is new to you....

  1. You remind me that I have been away from yoga for a while and must start it again! That visual is great and I will print it out and take it downstairs to my exercise area.

  2. I can do the first two and last two positions--that's about it. If I got down on the floor, I would not be able to get back up without crawling to a piece of furniture to pull myself up--hips and knees just can't take it anymore.

  3. Tabor, this visual came from
    gappa - Kaimhanta.blogspot.com
My day goes better if I do a
minimum of 15 and try for 30-45 minutes first thing every morning.
I also have a copy in two areas :)

  4. Yes! Beautiful practice! Breathing always. Eyes closed or soft. Jaw relaxed. Shoulder blades dropped. Body aligned. Breathing always.

  6. A timely reminder. Winter brings with it sedentary habits,
so yoga would be a splendid alternative.

  7. If someone wants to try salute to the sun and isn't quite limber enough to reach the floor, it works great to use a chair - as long as it is firmly against a wall so it won't move. I've done it this way for years and it is just fine.
