I Gotcha - Finally

My first summer at Woodhave and I have tried to capture a picture of a butterfly. They are never still long enough or I am not fast enough.

Finally yesterday afternoon (between all the chores) I captured this shot.

If I do say so myself - One Woman I am proud of you!!

The happy heart runs with the river, floats on the air, lifts to the music,
soars with the eagle, hopes with the prayer.
Maya Anglou

On this day I wish you a constantly Happy Heart

  6. She flutters
    and
    flits
    from
    flower to flower,
    imbibing
    the aroma,
    the nectar,
    and smell of the woods.

    She often wondered
    why
    she was
    a mixture
    of
    black and white
    and not colored.

    And one day,
    she heard
    the wet Earth
    say ,
    "Its all about
    being part of a happy
    wonderful picture,
    showing off
    each others best .

    It doesnt matter
    what color
    you
    yourself carry
    in life ....."

  8. Stunning photo and well to pat yourself on the back about. I've always thought butterflies, hummingbirds, and dragonflies are such etherially beautiful creatures, their beauty can not be captured on paper. Yet, yuodid manage.

  9. lilalia, I have been trying all summer. The butterflies and hummingbirds just never stopped moving their wings and a good photo of them was impossible.

  11. WOW what a great picture. You are becoming quite the pro with that camera! You are just like that old Virginia Slims commercial that says, "You've come a long way, baby"! I remember when you first got your computer and now you are a master at both. I am proud of you!

  14. I have tried SO many times this summer to get a good photo of butterflies, and so few of them turn out. On Sat., I took one of a butterfly in the final stages of life. It broke my heart.
