You rarely hear someone use the word "Autumn".One Woman's Journey - a journal being written from Woodhaven - her cottage in the woods.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12548226150115102345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7684927768388749969.post-11563113012730539452012-08-16T03:02:39.444-04:002012-08-16T03:02:39.444-04:00we are having summer here - finally! tomorrow is g...we are having summer here - finally! tomorrow is going to be 93, but it won't feel like 93 does in the south - won't have that sticky, humidity with it. we usually get 2 or 3 days of 90s each summer; back to 80 on saturday and by sunday we're in the 70s again where we stay most of the summer. within 2-3 weeks, however, we will be fading into fall quickly. i have not left the house even once this year without a jacket for the evenings. a chill sweeps in every evening. autumn used to be my fav season until we moved to the PNW. now i am not exhausted by heat in summer so i love summer and all the time we spend outside in comfort. spring and fall are seductive, too, but fall in the NE is just stunning compared to what we have here - too many conifers and too few deciduous trees here for a gorgeous show.
