Beautiful Day To Sit On My Screen Porch

  1. When I lived in the South for 7 years a long time ago I really appreciated having a screened porch? I had a toddler so it wasn’t as lovely as yours but this image took me back to that time. The other thing I miss is lightning bugs. Maybe it’s too dry here in Northern California. As an immigrant fromEngland I found them to be magical.

Thank you for another evocative image.

    Stay well and get strong.

  5. Tabor, everything on this porch has a memory, all old, like this smaller cottage I built 13 years ago. All old, like this one, and never thought this way until the 80 mark. Thank you
    Thanks to all who commented
you will never know what it means
as now have not left this home in about 3 months. The helper does grocery shopping unless can purchase on Amazon :)

  6. You have a beautiful porch full of greenery. We have conservatories here, usually added on to give a house extra room, warmth and sunlight. They’re usually added onto the south side and become too hot to sit in during the summer months.
Yours looks much more inviting! xx

  8. My screen porch is on the side of this cottage and a deck in the back, always sunny, thought of covering it
as do not sit in the sun long anymore.
Even thought of enclosing for a sunroom, plants would love it in the Winter But probably
need to stop thinking of doing more to this cottage since I am really nearing the end.
A lifetime of remodeling and building, guess mind is still doing it :)

  9. There is no way that you cannot be happy sitting in that delightful place. I have one similar. Aren’t we lucky.

  13. Hello, Ernestine,
Your porch is so inviting, all the green is amazing, and it would give me the feel of being outside, while having the safety of the screened area. No bugs!!

May you have relief from the arthritis pain. I know it can be unrelenting at times. It sure sounds like you have great help and lots of beauty to surround you, and I hope that brings some comfort.
I am fully involved with home schooling Teddy during this time of the pandemic. He is 5th grade now and quite a good student, although, I know he misses his schedule with his friends.

    Fondly,
    Marcia
