Looking out the kitchen window
one morning...
I saw the bluebirds.
They were going into the birdhouse
where they raised a family
last year.
Was so pleased
an image was taken
Moved the hollow section from tree that came down in storm.
Put it on a stump.
Wonder who will make this their home?

One year my mother made blue bird houses (6) and put them up on the fence posts that lined our long driveway. I haven't seen a blue bird in several years around here--of course, no one has houses for them either.
ReplyDeleteJudy, I put 3 houses up when I moved in. They are only using this house. Love seeing them go in and out. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteRemembering you in a special way...
Bluebirds!! Just love that. You can sit and watch them raise their little ones for many weeks.
ReplyDeleteNext to my mockingbird, bluebirds are my favorites. Around here I think they nest in old fence posts. I hope something raises babies in the old tree stump.
ReplyDeleteI would give anything to have blue birds.....They are so pretty....
ReplyDeleteTabor, Charlette and Beverly,
ReplyDeletejust came inside
another beautiful day...
Pure joy....Bluebirds have come back here after many years and I still get a thrill when I spot on. Your woods look so pretty! A place of peace for you.
ReplyDeleteSigh.... you have bluebirds. It will be a month or two until they return here. We do have geese though!
ReplyDeleteCate, Another blue bird I spotted coming out of a house. I have 3 of them. Pleases me to see them going and coming.
ReplyDeleteMarsha, wonder what made you birds
go away?
