First of June

saw you out of the window
you never moved when
I went onto the porch

Hay being cut
Wheat turning golden

Miss Callie you watch it all

  1. We do have to get up at 5:30 to water and weed...that heat starts by 9:00!

  2. Good Morning...
We are going to have a beautiful day today and then the heat starts. I work out early in the morning to...otherwise I melt.
    Take care and keep cool,

  3. Your Miss Callie is special. We came home late one night last week and spied yearlings as they disappeared into the tall grass on the side of the road. It's fun to think about all the wildlife that lives beyond our sight.

  4. Nice day here today--70's--can't stand the heat we have had. We haven't even had our first cutting of hay yet--you are way ahead of us in all growing things.

  7. Balisha, Sharon, Judy and Sandra thank for visiting
    Beverly, I love the mornings.
Up this morning at 5:00 - now I will be meditating, praying or reading at 7:00 until I fall asleep
With all the outside work I do and with the heat that has arrived - have to start early.

  8. The photos are so beautiful in their early morning splendor.....My fave, though, is Callie with the hind foot between the front two. So cute.
We are surrounded by bad tornadoes here in MA tonight...they will not come to Cape Cod, but we are in darkness with some wind.

  9. Marcia, hope you are safe. I do not like storms. I did not notice that about Callie's foot :)
    Have good and restful night...

  10. i absolutely LOVE these photos - the hay, especially! sometimes i am still up at dawn - all depends on hormone issues and pain. I long for the old days when i slept!

my sis was in western NC recently, and later deep into the mts where it was in the high 90s! we are still in the 50s with rainy days, but this weekend we will hit the mid 70s with sunshine! we are thrilled!

  12. Oh, how just so very lovely. In spite of the hazy heat. Your little deer has such big ears...and Miss Callie so respectful.

There is something about bales of hay in a field that strikes a chord with me...not sure what it is, but your photo brings something lifting to the surface.

Some of your words make me stop and think - tears to my eyes.
You must always share your thoughts and your wonderful images.
What a special God given talent you have...
