I relate to so much of what you say--the desire for fine things against my skin, the awareness that so much is not made anymore to hang around for very long, and nurturing oneself with good food. Just the other day I made a wonderful loaf of yeast bread from a recipe I modified. I've been rationing myself ever since, as I'd wolf down the whole thing if I thought I could get away with it. Your muffin recipe looks intriguing. I just may give it a try! The cold, rainy weather tonight and possible snow tomorrow may mean I'm inside all day. What better way to warm a house than to make a pot of soup and bake something delicious?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7684927768388749969.post-28572961474210678082014-01-28T22:31:45.080-05:002014-01-28T22:31:45.080-05:00I don't think you'd be skiing or skating h...I don't think you'd be skiing or skating here now--unless you were very young--they seem to think it is fun--probably as we did at a time in our young lives. At least the sun has been shining, but everyone around me seems to be getting very depressed and so weary of the fierce cold we have.Judyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03399435237919718544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7684927768388749969.post-75962074111131396192014-01-28T22:23:47.481-05:002014-01-28T22:23:47.481-05:00I was pleased to find out apart from our travellin...I was pleased to find out apart from our travelling butcher (organic stuff only) there is also a travelling appliance guy who tootles around in his van and does repairs of all kinds of appliances. I was heartened.

I throw everything into my bastible bread, my home-made yogurt, chopped fruit on hand, nuts and the organic apricots are the best. They are purple and not yellow. Daughter told me the yellow colour was a dye. My bran muffins have dried apricots, raisins, walnuts and I use buttermilk. I don't make them too large either. My grandma used to make these...so memories of her every time I bake them Joe likes them so much that he said that he would like them in the house all the time.
Have a nice day...
BalishaBalishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17298193443371503407noreply@blogger.com
